TOLERANCE OR SEPARATION….WHAT DOES GOD SAY?

SEPARATION – setting apart from something.
Let’s look at scriptures from the Authorized KJV Bible.
A. As a good act from:
Unclean……………………Leviticus 15:31
Evil workers……………….Numbers 16:21
Heathen filthiness………….Ezra 6:21
Pagan intermarriages………..Ezra 9:1,2
Foreigners…………………Nehemiah 13:3
Wine………………………Numbers 6:2-6
B. As an evil act by:
False teachers……………..Luke 6:22
Separatists………………..Jude 19
Whisperers…………………Proverbs 16:28
Gossipers………………….Proverbs 17:9
C. As descriptive of:
God’s judgment……………..Deuteronomy 29:21
God’s sovereignty…………..Deuteronomy 32:8
Israel’s uniqueness…………Leviticus 20:24
Choice of the Levites……….Numbers 8:14
Nazarite vow……………….Numbers 6:2-6
Christian obedience…………2 Corinthians 6:17
Union with Christ…………..Romans 8:35.39
Christ’s purity…………….Hebrews 7:36
Final separation……………Matthew 25:32-46

The Biblical doctrine of separation is based on God’s holiness. God does not look upon sin with any tolerance. 1Peter 1:15,16 (15) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; (16) Because as it is written,
Be ye holy; for I am holy.

It doesn’t matter WHAT the issue is…sin is sin and God will not allow it in His kingdom. He will not hear our prayers, He will not bless our lives.

Loving our enemies, praying for those who persecute us, doing good to those who spitefully use us….that should always be our attitude, but tolerance of sin and being a part of it is NOT what God was talking about. He says to come out and not to partake of it. We have the free choice to obey or not to obey, but we do not get to choose the consequences of our disobedience.

We need to think for ourselves and line up everything we think, say, or do, with the scriptures with Christ as our cornerstone. We must not allow anyone else or what is socially acceptable to alter what is right in the sight of God, God does not change. His word is settled forever in heaven.

We either WILL stand for the truth and refuse to compromise or we won’t. It is up to us, but make your choices carefully for they will have eternal consequences.

I love you, Mama Jo

I am a missionary in Kenya. I work with Pastor Sablon Ahenda and we are located in Ugunja, Kenya. I have been in Kenya since March 13, 2003. Our ministry is called Treasure Keepers Kenya and it is a discipleship ministry to pastors in the interior to help ground them in the word of God using the Authorized KJV Bible. We are not an organization nor do we promote any denomination. We have one goal and that is to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints using the Authorized KJV Bible. God bless you.

  1. AMEN, Mama Jo! A wonderful and GREATLY NEEDED study!

(2 Corinthians 6:14-18) “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? {15} And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? {16} And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. {17} Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, {18} And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
